Babs Bell Hajdusiewicz (hi-doo-SHEV-its), M.S.Ed., is a bestselling children’s author, speaker and consultant whose publishing credits include more than 100 children's books, classroom textbooks and kits; and more than 350 poems and songs for children, parents, and teachers. Her latest title, WOW! Words™: Building Children's Powerful Oral Vocabularies (Ages 4-7), was released by Good Year Books in 2011.

Babs has been invited to speak at hundreds of schools, educational conferences, and parenting seminars.  A former university instructor and teacher-training liaison in Michigan and Ohio, she has been an educator and author for more than four decades.  Babs has taught elementary and special education classes at all levels, and she served as director of special education in school districts in both Indiana and Michigan.

Babs' bestselling classroom titles include Phonics Through Poetry (followed by MORE Phonics Through Poetry), in which carefully prepared lessons use the rhythm and rhyme of poetry to teach phonics. Her bestselling children's titles include Don't Go Out in Your Underwear! -- a collection of her best-loved poems for children.
